The Problem
As AI became part of our company’s strategy, teams began exploring features without shared guidelines. We risked inconsistent experiences, unclear user expectations, and potential trust issues. Designers and product partners needed both literacy and a framework for building AI responsibly in an enterprise context.

Role & Approach
I took an advanced course on human-centered AI design, learning how to design responsibly for LLM-powered products. From there, I translated these insights into our company context by:
Defining Principles: Created AI design principles focused on trust, guardrails, transparency, and usability in enterprise workflows.
Team Education: Ran presentations and workshops for the design team, helping them understand how to design for AI-native experiences.
Leadership Enablement: Presented to company leadership, framing AI as not just a feature, but a strategic shift requiring alignment across product and engineering.
Collaboration: Partnered with cross-functional peers to embed these principles into real initiatives, ensuring patterns were consistent and future-proof.

Outcomes & Impact
Delivered a set of AI design principles that now guide product teams building AI-powered features.
Upleveled the design team’s confidence in working with AI, equipping them with patterns and practical examples.
Influenced leadership conversations, shifting the company perspective toward AI as a systemic capability rather than a bolt-on feature.
Helped ensure early AI initiatives launched with clarity, transparency, and trust baked in.
